An ASHP takes heat from the air and transfers it to a fluid refrigerant. This fluid passes through a compressor, which raises the fluid’s temperature and transfers the heat to your central heating system.
Air source heat pumps are at least three times more efficient than oil and gas boilers, reducing your bills.
Not using fossil fuels means your carbon footprint is greatly reduced.
Is a single outdoor unit. Pipes carry water to the central heating system and a hot water cylinder inside your home.
Split systems separaet the heat pump in to indoor and outdoor units and can be more efficient because some of the heat transfer takes place inside the building where it’s warmer, resulting in less heat being lost.
An ASHP doesn't provide hot water on demand so a cylinder or storage system is required.
A hybrid heat pump or a heat battery can also be used. Please talk to us for more info.
